Halifax, Nova Scotia, July 29, 2010 – Immunovaccine Inc. (TSX-V:IMV) announced today that Pulitzer prize winning journalist Albert Scardino has joined the company’s Board of Directors.

Based in London, England, Albert Scardino is a communications strategist, media investor and journalist. His career in news has spanned two continents, from a reporter at The New York Times to an executive editor role at The Guardian. Mr. Scardino has served as Press Secretary to the Mayor of New York and was an advisor to the chairman of the Securities and Exchange Commission. He is an experienced director of several boards in the US and the UK. Mr. Scardino has a BA from Columbia University and a Master’s in Journalism from the University of California, Berkeley.
In conjunction with this appointment, Mr. Scardino has been granted 50,000 stock options under Immunovaccine's Stock Option Plan, exercisable at a price of $1.27 per common share. The options have a term of five years and vest over a period of 18 months.
